Chicken Alfredo Recipe

Chicken Alfredo is a dish belonging to Italian cuisine. It is made by mixing a special sauce and Parmesan cheese, and it comes with options with or without chicken. The story goes that a man prepared this dish for his pregnant wife who had lost her appetite, and she loved it, making it a popular dish in Italy. It is featured on the menus of all restaurants.

 

 

Chicken Alfredo Recipe Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breast pieces
  • 400g fettuccine pasta or your preferred pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Finely chopped parsley or mint, basil, thyme, dill (optional for garnish)

  1. Preparation of Chicken Breast:
    • Slice the chicken breasts thinly. Slicing the chicken thinly ensures faster and even cooking.
    • After finishing slicing, season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper and let them marinate.
  2. Preparation of Pasta:
    • Add fettuccine pasta to boiling salted water and cook for about 15 minutes. Once cooked, drain and set aside. After preparing the pasta, proceed to cook the chicken.
  3. Cooking the Chicken:
    • Melt butter and olive oil in a pan.
    • Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook each side for about 8 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
  4. Preparation of Alfredo Sauce:
    • Crush three cloves of garlic and sauté them until fragrant. Then add the heavy cream to the pan and stir until it begins to simmer.
    • Once the cream starts simmering, add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens.
  5. Combining Chicken and Pasta:
    • Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and mix well.
    • Then, add the cooked chicken breast to the pasta and sauce mixture.

Serving:

  • Serve Chicken Alfredo on a plate and garnish with the prepared garnish.
